Aadhaar updation and enrolment centres are closed due to the nationwide lockdown. If you want to update details in your Aadhaar card such as mobile number, email ID etc, there is an alternate route. You can visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to update the details in your Aadhaar.
Minister of State for Human Resource Development (HRD), Communications, Electronics & IT, Sanjay Dhotre, announced via a tweet that Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has permitted Common Service Centres to offer the Aadhaar updation services. “Around 20,000 such common service centres will now be able to offer Aadhaar updation related services to the citizens,” Dhorte’s tweet stated.
Since start of the lockdown, many people have been tweeting to the official Aadhaar Twitter handle asking how then can update details in their Aadhaar to avail services or to undergo Aadhaar related KYC procedure.
